We appreciate your feedback!

Dear Members & Guests

To begin, we would like to thank all of whom participated in the recent club survey. We found the comments and scores insightful. These surveys will continue for the next three months centering on different parts of the club with the recurring theme being the plan to improve golf maintenance practices and results.

Golf Course Maintenance

Based upon the scores and comments, we know that the areas of most concern are as follows:

1. Maintenance of traps: This is an ongoing concern, and we are trying to identify a permanent solution. The first part of the solution is to purchase new sand but also to rebuild some of the bunkers. To do this, we need to find a dedicated person, who will be employed by the club. If any of you know of an individual with any landscaping experience or someone who wants to work in the golf industry, please let me know. Lastly, it is also important for all our members and guests that if you hit a shot into a trap to please rake the trap after your shot. Thank you.

2. Greens: We acknowledge that hole #8 is a problem and it is almost to the point it will be in the same shape as the rest of the green. We apologize for the length of time it has taken to repair. In addition, I have instructed Andy to begin to roll the greens to make a smoother surface.

3. Tee boxes: To address these issues as soon as possible, we intend to engage a reputable landscape construction company to address the tee boxes which are crowned by constructing new ones.

Our biggest issue today is manpower as the team is less than 50% of the budgeted manpower. We have run ads and connected with numerous organizations to identify potential sources of candidates but so far, we have not had much luck. Please note if any of you know of a reputable landscaping company to assist with either daily work or golf construction projects or any source of manpower, please let me know as we want to make Granite Springs a great club for all of you.

Food & Beverage

We have informed the vendor (Compass) and its manager, our member Brain Smart, of your comments and scores regarding the food and beverage area. We are confident Brian, and his team will be addressing those and change whatever is necessary to improve the overall experience. It is important to note that we had a significant number of members comment about the food and beverage area, but regular usage is critical to make this a great part of the club. Therefore, we encourage you to utilize the dining room and if it is not up to your expectation, please let us know.

Event Participation

Eighty-seven percent of the members have voted they wish to see management participate in the events. Therefore, the club will continue to allow it but only for those who are not fulfilling a role in the management and organization of the event on the day or days of the event to ensure the event is running smoothly.

Thank you once again for participating in the survey and we look forward to seeing you at the club.

Sincerely yours.

Andrew McGrath
