Well, we had a great week here at Granite Springs Golf Club. We hosted three outside golf tournaments plus our own Members Closing Scramble on Sunday. Going forward, we have two tournaments left to go. We have one this coming Saturday, for the Halifax Brewers Senior Baseball Team and then our own Iron Man event on November 5th.
Construction Association Golf Tournament
On Thursday we hosted the Construction Assoc. tournament. They played a nine hole event in the pouring rain and still managed to have a great time. Many thanks to Harry Forbes and his guest who were great sports! We hosted over 100 players....
Business is Jammin' Golf Tournament
Friday was the Business is Jammin' Tournament in support of the Black Business Initiative.
It was a pleasure to work with this event and everyone had an enjoyable day. There were plenty of volunteers to help the day go smoothly and some great hole sponsors to add to the days festivities.

We had 104 members participate in our Closing Scramble on Sunday October 9th.

Green Airification
As most of you know by now, we will be airifying the greens starting late this afternoon and all day Tuesday. We have had a good response from members who wish to lend a hand on Tuesday.
The airification will relieve a lot of compaction that our greens are currently experiencing. It will help the greens to breathe and become healthier and more receptive for approach shots.
It is a necessary process for healthier greens.
Our last event of the year is the Annual Iron Man Golf Tournament. The event will be on Saturday November 5th. The event is a two-person Best Ball format and should be a great event for all who participate. Please sign up in the proshop so you don't miss out.
