“The Halifax City Branch of the Retired Teachers Organization held its annual provincial golf tournament at Granite Springs on Sept. 16, 2017. By all accounts our event was a great success due, in great part, to the diligence of the Granite Springs staff both prior to and during the event. Amenities were provided by the course staff (water, range balls, carts/scorecards nicely prepared, prize holes readied, microphone, meeting area) all of which enhanced the smoothness with which the day proceeded. Because of our numbers we didn’t qualify for a shot gun start but that was mitigated by the facility providing a meeting space prior to the tournament for a general assembly and complimentary range balls for those waiting to tee off. The dining room staff staggered the serving of our meals to ensure that everyone’s food was hot and fresh. The overall cost per person was more than acceptable for an event of this quality. We would certainly return to Granite Springs for a future event.”
