Granite Springs Course Maintenance Update: May 10th, 2018
Granite Springs management and golf course maintenance staff are pleased to announce that repairs to the course have begun on Thursday, May 10th, 2018 in conjunction with regular, yearly course maintenance. Since purchasing the course in December of 2016 ownership and management have identified key areas of the course that must be addressed. Today we have started to work on repairing damaged areas of the course. Dethatching has been done on sections of #4, #9, #11 and #18. We have also aerated the #18 fairway and repaired the areas that were damaged due to a hydraulic leak at the end of last year.
More work is planned for when the weather improves, including work on the #14 fairway. #14 will be repaired in sections and will include taking up turf, adding fill, topsoil, and then seeding and/or re-sodding. This will enable the fairway to hold water better and therefor not dry out in the summer. It will greatly improve play on the fairway. Each hole will continue to be monitored and areas in most need will be addressed first. Thank you for your support and patience as we work to improve playing conditions this summer!
The gallery below shows some of the repairs taking place on the golf course. We will continue to update Members and public golfers as course repairs continue.
