2018 Ambassador Committee
The role of the Ambassador Committee is to assist in the identification and development of new invitees for the Granite Springs Golf Club. The Ambassador Committee works with Club Management, specifically the head sales and marketing person, to identify professionals in the area who could benefit from membership in the Club. Additionally, Members of the Ambassador Committee assist with entertaining prospects in the Club, providing additional background information on prospects when available, and in sponsoring prospective Members who are not acquainted with any of the current Members of the Club when needed.
The Ambassador Committee is made up by 6-8 GSGC 4-Year Ambassador Members or Members who have been with the Club for at least four. The Committee will be dedicated to reaching out to the community on behalf of the Club to recruit new members, including invitation and education, bringing in new members, teaching them about Granite Springs and then ensuring that the member experience meets everyone’s expectations. You were chosen because you’re up to the task.
The Ambassador Committee will be the major influence in shaping a successful and satisfied membership and will assure the Club’s prominence and involvement in the community. It is comprised of supportive Club Members representing various organizations and interests in the community. Primarily, the Ambassador Committee will work with Club Management in the development and implementation of membership efforts and opportunities to build a strong membership roster. Through contact in social and business environments, Committee Members will introduce prospective Members to the Club and will encourage their fellow Members to do so as well. Providing Club Management with insight as to Members’ needs and interests, the Committee also assists with the retention of existing Members.
The responsibilities of the Ambassador Committee are multifaceted, acting as the main source for quality referrals, and as a part of a group that constantly reflects the needs, desires, and concerns of the entire Club membership. The Committee’s primary responsibility is the ensure the Club’s viability by preserving and enhancing the membership roster. Because of normal attrition due to transfers, death, divorce, etc., the effort is continuous.
Meetings are held on a monthly basis with Committee Members participating in discussions regarding Club updates, communication of referrals, new information pertaining to the Club, status of individual performance in furthering the goals of the Committee and the Club, and any additional activities necessary to keep the group moving forward. Because of the importance of participation, absence from 2 meetings in a row will be interpreted as voluntary withdrawal from the Committee. Each term of participation will be from January 1 to December 31 of the designated year.
Each Committee Members will be responsible for participating in the following areas:
- Attending regularly planned monthly meetings.
- Dining or recreating with prospective Members, as required by the Club sales & marketing head.
- Proposing and sponsoring 5 new Members (or pass holders) per year.
- Reach out to the communities on behalf of the Club to develop new prospective Members.
- Golfing with prospective Members, introducing and bonding with them together with other club members.
- Show prospective Members around the club and introduce them to various groups.
- Advise and develop club members events includes social, golf, dining, etc.
- And such other duties as may be assigned by Club Management team.
6 to 8 Ambassador Members and GSGC Sales & Marketing Head
First Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm (Club in season and Downtown office off season)
